In the midst of all the political insanity, financial insecurity, the insurgence of Sarah Phalin; the rhetoric of the politicians, and all of the emptiness of media as we know it; I find myself wondering how all the news items that flash across the television screen make there way to the internet blogs and the text messages affect the quality of life for humanity? Does it matter who married who or what car the rich and famous brought. The television awards, the reality shows; all the while watching the rich and famous, their families and their dogs living the high life while we ride through the streets accosted by beggars and homelessness. Please don't stop to talk to the disenfranchised because not only are the asking for a handout - they want you to know that they are entitled to it? Radio hosts have become mini-psychologists, and spiritual guides for their form of "what is right" and we don't want to talk about the many many many programs that claim if you send your money in you will be blessed, God will save your children, you will lose weight, look better, your husband/wife, and children will love you and on and on.
It is frightening to think that simple things like tell the truth, treat people the way you want to be treated. A hard days work for a hard days pay and simple values that keep us sound and in inner peace have been questioned. I don't know everything but what I know - I know -this is madness! I want to close my eyes and blink it away but instead I think I will become a community of one and change my environment the best way that I can... for today it's too blog about it. Thoughts?
